Matthias Winkler

An amusing fact about Matthias Winkler is that he was the first pre-schooler in the Swiss Canton of Bern. And also that he defines himself as a painting machine. He performs live painting sessions, during which the audience can watch a painting or a mural come to life right before their eyes. He seduces Claude Nobs in a letter in which he proposes to paint the 2001 poster. Like a picture board, his poster represents in twenty pictograms the variety of musical styles that the festival embraces.
