The artwork for this edition is by Jean Tinguely, the Swiss sculptor and painter, famous for his crazy, squeaky machines. Tinguely’s distinctive hand lettering was subtly reworked by Pierre Keller to create the Festival’s iconic new logo. His partner Niki de Saint Phalle will design the 1984 poster.
